Stephen Wesson is an educational resource specialist at the Library of Congress, where he helps develop teacher resources and online programs that promote the effective use of the Library’s collections and expertise. A veteran of educational media, before coming to the Library he managed print and online programs for a number of educational companies and organizations.

Alice Pettway is the author of four collections of poetry: Dawn Chorus (2023), Station Lights (2021), Moth (2019), and The Time of Hunger (2017). Her work, which spans poetry, non-fiction, and fiction, has appeared in AGNI, Learning for Justice magazine, Rattle, The Progressive, The Southern Review, The Threepenny Review and many other respected publications. She is a former Chulitna Artist Fellow and Art Omi: Writers resident. Currently, Pettway lives and writes near Seattle, Washington.

Darnell Fine is a classroom teacher and writer whose work focuses on questions of power and critical thought. He facilitates creative writing seminars and social justice workshops nationally and internationally. An educator by trade, he applies radical imagination to the profession of teaching. He seeks to empower his students and encourages them to transform society into a more just place. Darnell was also a 2012 recipient of the Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Cullturally Responsive Teaching.

Nancy Erbe is an associate professor of negotiation, conflict resolution and peacebuilding at California State University Dominguez Hills and author of Holding These Truths: Empowerment and Recognition in Action: Interactive Case Study Curriculum for Multicultural Dispute Resolution

Schilsky is president and chief creative director of the Warehouse Project & Gallery. She holds a master's degree in social work from Loyola University, Chicago and a bachelor of arts in sociology and anthropology from North Central College, Naperville, IL.

Dave lives with his wife and daughter in San Jose, California. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and has spent the last ten years working as a magazine editor, freelance writer and photographer.

Brad Swope is a Savannah-based freelance writer and a member of the Writing and Linguistics faculty at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.

Jason Drwal is a psychologist at the Iowa City VA Hospital. He works with and advocates for veterans and their families.

Gary R. Howard has 35 years of experience working with issues of civil rights, social justice, equity, education and diversity. His most recent book, We Can't Teach What We Don't Know (Second Edition, 2006), was published by Columbia University and is considered a groundbreaking examination of privilege, power and the role of white leaders and educators in a multicultural society.

Meghan is a poet, novelist, essayist, science writer and librettist from Boston, Massachusetts. Her work has appeared in The Pitkin Review, The Wick Journal, Applied Sentience, The Harvard Divinity Bulletin and others. Her first novel, Light and Skin, was published by Empty City Press in 2010, and her second book, Kinesiophobia, is scheduled for release in 2017.
